Denis Mello - Indie comic books and illustrations

While still studying at the School of Fine Arts at UFRJ, since the end of 2009 has been producing comics and illustrations varied, in addition to joining in 2011 as a teacher in recognized technical course Fashion Senac.

 

In his work with comics, has explored several themes, debuting with a short novel about the Palestinian situation, and following with comics about soccer for a sports newspaper, laws on violence against women for an anthology, drinking with friends, philosophy, heroic animals, brothel, drama, horror, music among others, including  collaborations for friends publications or their own projects.
Much of his production so far is available for free reading on that site.

Has been participating in major events of comics in Brazil, such as Rio Comicon and FIQ in Belo Horizonte, appearing with his independent magazines always selling very well. It was also the organizer of the Comics Week of UFRJ until 2010.

Constantly works on improving his skills, which still considers far from ideal. At least the ideal for the realization of his plans.
